All servo drives of the device families VariMotion and CompactMotion are generally equipped with functions in the sense of functional safety.
The function STO (Safe-Torque-Off) is located in the servo drive and is therefore basically available.

The advanced motion-based functions can be added as needed via an external module.
A bridge module is used for simple coupling with a safety controller.
No programming of the actual safety functions is required.
All components have been tested and certified by TÜV according to their safe function and can be used for applications up to performance level d (SIL 2).
