all about automation is expanding internationally
Premieres in the Netherlands and the US – Growth in Austria
In 2027, ‘all about automation’ will continue its international expansion. The inaugural events in Gorinchem, the Netherlands (21 and 22 April 2027) and Graz, Austria (21 and 22 September 2027) are already generating a great deal of interest: Over 160 exhibitors have already registered for Graz by the end of September 2026, and over 50 for the Netherlands. It has been clear since mid-September that aaa is also launching in the USA. The inaugural ‘all about automation’ event will take place in Detroit, Michigan, on 20 and 21 October 2027.
The tried-and-tested thematic structure and the aaa concept will be retained in the new markets too – in each case, specifically tailored to the requirements and industrial priorities of the respective target region.

Best of all about automation day am 3 December 2026
The ‘Best of all about automation day 2026’ will see selected topics from ‘all about automation’ explored further in a digital interview format. In 20-minute, professionally moderated discussions, companies will present their solutions, applications and innovations to a relevant specialist audience – even beyond the days of the trade fair. The interviews will be moderated by the experienced editorial team at VDE Verlag.
Together, ‘all about automation’ and VDE Verlag are combining their reach and extending the trade fair’s visibility into the digital sphere. This creates additional touchpoints for innovations, specialist knowledge and dialogue with the automation industry.

New Locations in 2026 and 2027
After Berlin and Austria: The Netherlands is in the planning stages
“all about automation” continues to grow and tap into new markets: Following its successful debut in Berlin in January 2026, the next milestone was just around the corner—in May 2026, “aaa” celebrated its Austrian debut in Wels. Graz will follow as a second location in Austria in September 2027.
At the same time, preparations are underway for the next step: entering the Dutch market. The first “all about automation” event in the Netherlands (Gorinchem) is scheduled for April 2027. The first phase of reaching out to exhibitors is currently underway.
Trade show director Tanja Waglöhner: “The new locations were developed in response to our exhibitors’ needs. We’re bringing the proven aaa concept to new, strong industrial regions—and creating a platform there as well for concrete solutions, one-on-one discussions, and regional networking.”

The first “all about automation” took place in Friedrichshafen in 2014. Since then, this regional trade fair for industrial automation—with seven locations in Germany, one in Switzerland, two in Austria, and one in the Netherlands—has firmly established itself in the automation industry’s event calendar.
The all about automation trade shows are all about direct exchange and face-to-face conversations. Attendees discuss customized solutions, make new contacts, and strengthen relationships. The regional nature of the trade shows facilitates and accelerates the development of networks and partnerships.
