Like many success stories, that of JAT also has its beginning in a garage: Our
\nfounders, pioneers with a vision, came from the global Zeiss corporation and had
\nthe idea and the bravery to found a technology company after the fall of the Berlin
\nWall. Jena drive technology thus began as a classic garage manufacture. The first
\nyears were characterised by conquering a market that was unknown to us,
\nsearching for and finding investors and customers who had faith in us, and
\nlearning from the competitors. The result was a company that recognised its
\nemployees as its most important resource from the very beginning. Our collective
\ngoal: to be the technology specialist in the automation industry.
\nEven today, it is curiosity and passion that drive us. If a lens, a laser, a sensor or a
\nworkpiece needs to be moved highly dynamically in the sub-micrometre range, we
\nwill find the solution. Our 170 employees develop and manufacture servo
\ncomponents and highly complex positioning and motion systems for customers
\nwith demanding industrial applications.
\nOur claim to be a pioneer attracts customers who appreciate our interdisciplinary
\nand experienced development and manufacturing. In addition to our expertise,
\nwhat sets us apart as JAT is our passion for each and every project. We go the extra
